| This unit is used by customers in
store environments to personally order goods. Key user interfaces include a touch
screen CRT, keyboard, and credit card magnetic stripe reader. The enclosure also
contains PC computer electronics. The entire enclosure and chassis are custom designed for this application. There are doors on the front of both the lower and upper sections to create easy service access. Designed and engineered by Rick Fayram and John Morrill while on staff at Joly Major Product Design in 1986. Cold rolled steel sheet metal enclosure, with pressure formed ABS plastic bezel. |
