This imager was designed for a limited production run in 1992.  It gave form to the development of Glykos' FACE imaging technology.

A light emitter, optics, camera, and electronic sub -chassis were all fit within.  The door on the front allows access to the gel slide sample chamber.

The appearance was designed to specifically lend a sense of solidness, robustness, and refinement to the product. The mechanicals were also fully detailed by Fayram Design.
