This scanner is one component of a mass information storage system. It contains an off-the-shelf scanner mechanism, power supplies and support electronics. The scanner output is unusual in having a vertical output tray to reduce the footprint area. It is designed for deskside placement. Designed by Rick Fayram while at staff at Dave Ellies Industrial Design in 1982. Cold rolled sheet steel with aluminum upper panel and output tray. |
