Model 1000

The CacheFlow 1000 is a high-performance dedicated computer data server for the World Wide Web.  It utilizes an active cache design to shorten the time required retrieving Web objects, thus dramatically improving the performance of Web clients.  It also sustains the prime cached objects in anticipation of their repeated access.

The CacheFlow 1000 utilizes the patent-pending CacheOS software with scalable,  high-quality industry standard components.

The CacheFlow 1000 is secure, robust and reliable. It is designed and engineered for use within an enterprise where it can serve hundreds of concurrent users accessing the Web servers both inside and outside the enterprise.

Fayram Design engineered the enclosure for extremely quick service access to all components, including hot swappable disk drives, dual power supplies, and circuit boards.

Fayram Design also conceived and refined the appearance for cost effective production.

Mechanical highlights:

Rear slide out chassis for quick access to all electronics, including memory and network adapters.  One tool-access latch is all that is required to be unlocked before sliding out the chassis on dual high quality drawer slides. Any component can be replaced or upgraded in just a few minutes.

Powered by dual load-sharing self-cooled power supplies.  The supplies are individually swappable from the rear without powering down the Server.  The supplies rest in a guide tray which is also quick removable (via 4 captured screws) for ease of access to componentS underneath. componentS underneath.

In-rack disk access for disk upgrades.   Up to 6 hot-swappable disk drives are mounted behind the hinged front panel.  The drive mounts are designed to reliably guide the drives into engagement with their mating connectors on a fast ultra wide SCSI-3 back plane.

Cable runs are minimized through careful engineering in order to maximize system reliability.

Designed to be mounted in a standard 19" rack in one of two positions; forward or mid-mount.

The redundant cooling fans are mounted on a quick release sub-panel.  The panel requires the release of only two panel-retained screws before removal.
